1. Graphical User Interface
The "Import Data in
Free Format" and the "Import External Data in Other
Formats" options on the "File" menu have been
combined as the "Import Data" option on the "File"
menu.
The "Import Data" option on the "File"
menu uses the latest STAT/Transfer dynamic link libraries.
The order of the observed variables in the PTH file of a single
group analysis is based on the order in the SE command instead
of that of the LA command.
An intercept variable (CONST) is available as a modeling variable
in the observed variable list of the PTH window.
2. PRELIS
The ST, CL and WT keywords
on the DA command line for the specification of the stratification,
the clustering and the design weight variables of complex
survey data respectively.
3. LISREL
The ST, CL, WT and WE keywords
on the DA command line for the specification of the stratification,
the clustering, design weight and case weight variables respectively.
The STRATUM, CLUSTER, WEIGHT and CASEWEIGHT commands for the
specification of the stratification, the clustering, the design
weight and the case weight variables.
4. SurveyGLIM
The power link function
for the Gamma and Inverse Gaussian sampling distributions.
The probit and complementary log-log link functions for the
Binomial sampling distribution.
5. List of problems
corrected
The text data files exported
from PRELIS system files were incorrect.
Variable labels containing hyphens and/or blanks were incorrectly
imported.
Moving covariance paths on a PTH file deleted the estimates
on these paths.
The importing of certain SPSS data files generated an infinite
loop which caused a non-responding problem.
The measures of fit line on the PTH window disappeared when
the PTH file was opened after it was saved earlier.
Inconsistent skewness and kurtosis computations were performed
if the data include constant variables.
The contents of the FTB file was inconsistent with that of
the corresponding FIT file.
The RG command with labels was not working properly.
Certain equality constraints specified in SIMPLIS syntax files
were not detected.
Incorrect latent variable scores were generated for certain
models.
The FIML method did not work for data for which each observation
has at least one missing value.
The GF, SV and PV keywords on the LISREL OU command line did
not work properly for the FIML method for data with missing
values.
Empty PRELIS system files were generated for certain PRELIS
syntax files.
Certain multiple group analyses based on PRELIS system files
yielded incorrect results.

The patch file upgrade872.exe
can be used to upgrade LISREL 8.71 for Windows (October 2004)
to LISREL 8.72 for Windows (April 2005).
Instructions
- Download the "upgrade872.exe" patch file to
the folder in which LISREL 8.71 for Windows is installed,
for example "C:\Program Files\lisrel87".
- Ensure that the downloaded file is approximately 15.8Mb
in size. If not, please download it again.
- Use the "Run" option on the Windows "Start"
menu to run "upgrade872.exe" from the folder it
was saved in.
- If the upgrade to LISREL 8.72 for Windows is successful,
delete "upgrade872.exe" from its folder.
Warning
Due to the size of the RTP patch file, the download time
with a dial-up Internet connection could be more than 1 hour.
